
Villanova wins first FCS national championship
(Chattanooga, TN) - Villanova edged Montana 23-21 for the national championship of the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). The national title is Villanova's first ever on the gridiron.
Villanova overcame a 14-3 first-half deficit to take home the trophy for head coach Andy Talley, capping off the coach's 25th season at the helm for the Wildcats, who finish the season 14-1.
